In order to provide a better understanding of the work of the Security and Intelligence Agency (SOA) and to facilitate its communication with citizens and the media, on 30 June, 2008, the SOA started its own website at www.soa.hr.
In this way we would like to present the activities of the Security and Intelligence Agency and offer, to the best of our ability, detailed information regarding the Agency itself, its organizational structure, history, scope of activity and authority.
The contents of this web site should enable the citizens of the Republic of Croatia to get a closer look and better understand the work of the Security and Intelligence Agency; raise the security awareness level. We would also like to present the legal framework directing our activities and describe our possibilities. The Agency has been trying to reach the highest possible level of reliability, professionalism and quality since the Security Intelligence System of the Republic of Croatia Act came into force in August 2006, and therefore we believe that the Internet, as an indispensable medium, will further contribute to this process.
The design of the Security and Intelligence Agency web pages is modern, providing easy access and logically placed links in Croatian and English.
The pages were created using the NOVENA SMS (Content Management System). The NOVENA CMS is based on the C# ASP.NET technology and uses the MS SQL database. Its concept provides a flexible and reliable page content management, regardless of the medium type and content quantity or structure.
The visual appearance and the graphics of the pages are separate from the application segment of the system, enabling easy and quick changes and adjustments of their design regardless of the content. The links between different content segments contain the so-called URL Rewriting, suitable for search engines.
The SOA web pages are supported by all browsers and operational systems (Microsoft, Mac OS), making the entire content accessible and not changing its appearance in different browser.
The W3C standard was complied with and Flash technology was used in order to make the page more attractive and to provide a different view of the content.
Finally we kindly ask for your understanding since in the coming period the SOA web page will be continuously supplemented and its quality improved.
