The SOA website - overview of the past six months

In accordance with the legal procedure, on 10 October 2008 Josip Buljević was appointed Director of the Security and Intelligence Agency.

The Interenet site of the Security and Intelligence Agency was visited in the first month of its existence (from June 30 to July 31, 2008) by 47,463 users - 69% from the Republic of Croatia and 31% from abroad.

Security and Intelligence Agency would like to thank to all who have sent their applications for the employment in SOA, either through the on-line form (from the “Admission to Service” section) or by mail. According to Agency’s needs and data given in a particular application (indicating that a particular individual meets the job specifications), in the forthcoming period certain individuals will be contacted, dependent on particular job requirements that should be met.

In the first week of its functioning, i.e. in the period of June 30 and July 7, 2008, the Security and Intelligence Agency Internet site was visited by 33 904 users - 69% from the Republic of Croatia and 31% from abroad.

On the first day of the Security and Intelligence Agency web site's operating, there were some minor technical foulups during the direct sending of applications to the on line form within the section titled “Job in SOA”.

After being launched on June 30, 2008, and in the period of 12:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., the SOA Internet site was visited by 13 467 users - 75% from the Republic of Croatia and 25% from abroad.

In order to provide a better understanding of the work of the Security and Intelligence Agency (SOA) and to facilitate its communication with citizens and the media, on 30 June, 2008, the SOA started its own website at www.soa.hr.
