SOA gathers significant security or intelligence data within the territory of the Republic of Croatia and abroad, which relates to uncovering the identities of individuals, groups or organizations which participated in committing war crimes.
Since it is the heir to POA and OA, SOA continues to gather and analyze data on war crimes committed on the territory of the former Yugoslavia, and in particular, intensively gathers data on war crimes committed during the Homeland War.
Both independently and in cooperation with foreign partner security intelligence agencies, SOA officers collect data and are working on locating war criminals - Ratko Mladić, Goran Hadžić and others.
